June Instagram Recap

Mia-Mia-Mine-Red-DressJune marked the official start of summer, which gave me a lot more flexibility in terms of outfits. Although I kept some athleisure pieces in the mix, I transitioned to casual basics, summer dresses, and sandals that made my outfits feel more put-together. The feedback from you guys have been amazing and several of the items I featured throughout the month ended up as my top sellers. I’ve been more motivated to get dressed since the weather has been nicer and I’ve been spending more time outdoors. But now that June has finally come to an end, I wanted to round up my favorite outfits along with all the pieces I wore. While some items have sold out, I made sure to link similar and more affordable styles below.

1. July 4th Inspired

I’ve been feeling inspired by the upcoming July 4th weekend so I caved into some patriotic-themed pieces, starting with this red cutout dress. It’s under $100 and looks great with a denim jacket layered over top. Once Independence Day is over, you can continue to enjoy it with flats or heels throughout the season. The material is on the thicker side so it feels really luxe and expensive.

2. All White Favorites

It’s so hard not to wear an all white ensemble in the summer. I love how refreshingly chic it looks, especially when styled casually. A relaxed button-down top and white jeans combo mixed with other neutrals is practically foolproof. I love that it works for a variety of occasions from the office to the weekend or anything in between.

3. Summer Shorts

Tailored shorts will forever be a staple for me. These past few seasons, I’ve been obsessed with paperbag waist styles that scrunch up around the waist, but I’ve also been loving cleaner cuts for a minimal look. They look so polished with tucked-in tops or flowy blouses.

4. Red & White

Another piece I can never pass up in the summer is a little white dress. When I saw this piece with the crinkled, wrap effect, I just knew I had to have it. It’s not only chic but party-ready with the surplice neckline and puff sleeves. Style it with red accessories for that extra pop.

5. Red Polka Dots

I love adding a statement dress to my summer collection because they’re perfect for weathering the hottest days of the year. Although I’m not necessarily a dress girl at heart, I love how feminine they make me feel. This polka dot maxi bares just enough skin and feels so romantic with the floor-grazing length.

6. Casual Summer

Summer style is more about casual and laid-back pairings. I love items that can easily be mixed and matched like these utility shorts. Although heels are a mainstay in my wardrobe, I like to mix in comfortable flats that I can wear anywhere. As far as accessories go, I’m usually a minimalist but will almost always reach for gold because of how it highlights a summer tan.

7. Sweatsuit

I still can’t get enough of sweatsuits, and I’m so glad to see that you guys are on board too. I love to spend as much time as I can outside so matching athleisure sets and sneakers have been on rotation. This Champion set comes in the perfect color and looks so cute with matching neutral sneakers.

8. Paperbag Shorts

Although I love tailored shorts, I’ve been gravitating more towards utility-inspired styles for a casual vibe. These shorts come with a belt, but I love that you can swap it out for something a little more structured. It makes such a big difference and really elevates an outfit.

9. White Blazer

I’ve been raving about this blazer all month long and it finally just got marked down to 50% off, making it less than $50 now! It’s a total steal and worth picking up. You can wear it as a jacket over denim shorts or jeans – or wear it as a dress as I did above. I’m all about versatile, multi-purpose pieces and this blazer is seriously the epitome of that.

10. Budget Sweatsuit

Finally, here’s another sweatsuit outfit that you guys loved from my Instagram this month! It’s not only practical, but makes for an easy, one-and-done outfit that looks great on everyone. I love olive green tones, but in case you don’t, this set is also available in black and gray.
