It’s so hard to believe that it’s already August! I’m so excited because I’ll be gearing up for fall in the coming weeks. Not only that but we’re now just a few days from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – and it’s one of my favorite sale events of the year! I’ll be kicking off several series this week to help you guys decide what’s worth buying and what to skip out on, so check back for that. In the meantime, I wanted to quickly round up my favorite Instagram looks from July! We all might be excited for fall but keep in mind that we technically still have several weeks of summer to go. If there’s anything you’re eyeing, don’t hesitate to grab it because you’ll still able to get plenty of wear it through the end of September. Keep scrolling for my Instagram recap from July!
Nordstrom Eyelet Top (wearing an XS) | Nordstrom White Paperbag Shorts (wearing an XS) | Gold Layering Necklaces (and here) | Rag & Bone Panama Hat (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Tote (better for budget here) | Gucci White Mules (go up 1/2 size, better for budget here)
1. White Eyelet
After eyeing the Gucci Princetown Mules for years, I finally went for the splurge when I found them on sale at Gilt! I just love how these shoes feel so elevated even though they lean casual in nature. One of the first outfits I styled them with was this all-white, eyelet look. They’re so easy to dress up or down!
Balmain Blazer (wearing an FR34, better for budget here) | ASTR The Label Floral Dress (wearing an XS) | Alexandre Birman White Heels (better for budget here) | Celine White Sunglasses (exact sold out – similar here, better for budget here and here) | Chloe Nile Bag
2. Floral Dress
There haven’t been too many opportunities to don a beautiful dress this summer, but that doesn’t mean you should skip out on them completely. I still can’t get over the embroidered eyelet details on this dress. It’s such a stunning daytime frock – but would be the perfect pick for a late summer or early fall wedding too.
Nordstrom Beaded Tank Top (sold out, similar here and here) | Nordstrom White Shorts (similar here, wearing an XS) | Saint Laurent Envelope Bag | Chanel Earrings (purchased mine from Fashionphile) | Alexandre Birman White Heels (better for budget here) | Similar Bracelets (and here) | Tom Ford Sunglasses (similar here, better for budget here)
3. Nude Essentials
If there’s one thing I’ve worn repeatedly throughout July, it’s probably these paper bag shorts. They just look so chic with camisoles, basics, or statement tops. I teamed them with a beaded camisole in the outfit above, which has now sold out, but this one is equally amazing!
LoveShackFancy Dress (wearing an XS, better for budget here) | Rag & Bone Panama Hat (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Tote | Castañer Wedges (better for budget here) | Daniel Wellington Watch | Similar Bracelet
4. Romantic Ruffles
It’s no secret that white and various shades of nude are my go-to summer colors, which is why I fell in love with this ruffled dress. It’s so feminine and makes the ideal outfit for laidback summer days – or can even be styled as a beach cover-up.
Nordstrom Treasure & Bond Utility Jacket (wearing an XXS, similar here) | Nordstrom Treasure & Bond Tank Top (wearing an XS) | Similar Black Shorts | Gucci Belt (wearing a size 70) | Alexandre Birman Heels
5. Basics
As July came to an end, I couldn’t help but look forward to fall, which became the inspiration behind this outfit. A utility jacket is one of my go-to transitional pieces because they’re lightweight, edgy, and wearable in the sweltering heat. Plus, you can never go wrong with an olive green and black ensemble.
Abercrombie Camel Sweatshirt (wearing an XS) | Abercrombie White Denim (wearing a 24S) | Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessories | NY Yankees Cap | Gold Layering Necklace (and here) | Golden Goose Leopard Sneakers (better for budget here)
6. Camel Sweatshirt
Abercrombie has been one of my favorite – and more affordable brands for casual daywear this summer. This camel sweater will be one of my mainstays through fall. I love how it goes so well with everything in my wardrobe.
Free People Dress (wearing an XS) | Chanel Bag | Alexandre Birman White Heels (better for budget here) | Celine Sunglasses (exact sold out, better for budget here) | Styled Collection Gold Bracelets
7. Lace Dress
I first purchased this dress in black (last worn here) and loved it so much that I ordered the white one too! It’s too charming to pass up. Although the white one is definitely summery, you can wear the black one well into fall. The length is also just right if you’re on the shorter side – it would work for so many occasions!
Endless Rose Black Cardigan (wearing an XS) | ASTR The Label White Paperbag Shorts (wearing an XS) | Mango White Heels (similar here) | Chanel Earrings | Chanel Bag | Amazon Sunglasses
8. Black & White
Color combinations don’t get any more classic than black and white. This cropped and fitted cardigan is one of my summer-to-fall pieces. I love that it comes with puffed shoulders and shiny medallion buttons. It definitely feels more elevated than your basic cardigan!
Nordstrom Bodysuit (wearing an XS, budget version here) | Janessa Leone Hat (better for budget here) | Revolve Linen Pants (similar here, here and here) | Dior Locket Necklace (similar here, budget version here) | Bottega Veneta The Pouch | Castañer Wedges (better for budget here) | Similar Gold Bracelets
9. Linen Pants
If you don’t yet own the perfect pair of linen pants for the summer, you’re definitely missing out. They’re the best alternative when you’ve outworn your jeans and shorts. These lightweight, breezy bottoms will have you looking cool and chic this season even when styled with basics.
Express White Blazer (wearing a 00) | Express Linen Tank (on sale now!) | Express High Waisted Shorts (on sale now!) | Express Lace-Up Heels (under $100) | Bottega Veneta Bag (better for budget here)
10. Express Favorites
Although I like to think my style is casual most of the time, I still gravitate towards dressier, tailored pieces, which is why I’m such a fan of Express. This white blazer is one of my favorite Balmain dupes and it looks amazing with everything. I’ve also been wearing these strappy heels nonstop!
