It’s already been snowing for the past few weeks here in Minnesota, so I thought this was the perfect time to share some of my favorite outfits for the wintry weather. I’m sure it sounds impossible to dress well when there’s a blizzard going on. However, after living in Minnesota for years, I’ve learned to adapt my wardrobe and style choices to the frigid temperatures. It all comes down to a few great coats to rotate through, a strong foundation of basics, and cozy accessories. Whether you’re headed on a ski trip in the next few weeks or anticipate some snowfall where you live, here are my go-to snow outfits for staying both warm and stylish on a daily basis.
QVC Olive Green Parka (on sale now) | Commando Bodysuit | Blank Denim Faux Leather Pants (wearing a 24, run TTS) | Moncler Beanie | Moon Boots | Prada Cahier Bag | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
1. Winter Parka and Faux Leather Pants
Dressing for the snow often comes down to one thing – and that’s a great winter coat. As cold as it gets here in Minnesota, there’s nothing more essential than a winter parka. This one is under $150 and keeps me super warm.
Topshop Faux Shearling Biker Jacket | Blank Denim Faux Leather Pants (wearing a 24, run TTS) | Burberry Plaid Scarf (on sale here) | Kyi Kyi Beanie | Zara Combat Boots (sold out, similar here) | Saint Laurent Sunglasses | Celine Red Handbag
2. All Black With A Pop Of Color
An all-black outfit is always a chic choice for the snow. I love that you can spice it up with accessories like a plaid scarf and statement beanie. It always makes for a festive, playful winter look.

3. Winter White Outfit With Faux Fur Boots
I’m obsessed with cozy, winter white outfits for the snow. Anyone can pull this look off by wearing different shades of ivory and beige. Mixing textures like chunky knits, faux fur, and denim always makes the outfit more appealing too.
Walmart Plaid Shacket | Hanes White T-Shirt | Scoop Faux Leather Pants | Scoop Faux Sherpa Hiker Boots | Scoop Faux Sherpa Crossbody Bag | Similar Pom Pom Beanie
4. Shacket, Leggings & Hiker Boots
One trend I’m absolutely loving this season is the shirt jacket. It’s so cozy chic layered on top of a basic tee, leggings, and faux shearling hiker boots. Since the jacket is pretty light in nature, you can always throw on a heavier coat to stay warm.
Canada Goose Parka | Similar Black Skinny Jeans | Kyi Kyi Beanie | Quay Aviator Sunglasses | Timberland Boots (on sale now!) | Prada Cahier Bag
5. Distressed Skinny Jeans, Lug Sole Boots, & Heavy Duty Parka
The ultimate casual winter outfit has to be a parka, skinny jeans and non-slip boots. Timberlands have been a favorite forever now because they’re built to keep your feet dry and comfortable. Plus, they look amazing with any jeans outfit.
SAM. White Puffer Jacket (better for budget here) | Similar Pom Pom Hat | Similar Aqua White Sweater (wearing an XS, also love this one) | Similar Express Faux Leather Pants | Moon Boots
6. Puffer Jacket, Cozy Sweater & Beanie
When I’m not in the mood for an oversized parka, a cropped puffer jacket is usually what I’m reaching for. I love that they’re insulated and breathable without the weight. You can literally throw a puffer jacket on top of any casual combo and you’ll look instantly put together for the wintry weather.

7. Faux Fur Coat, Skinny Jeans & Combat Boots
There are days when I want to look chic even when it’s frigid cold outside. In that case, a faux fur coat layered on top of skinny jeans and combat boots is the cute snow outfit I fall back on. It’s a good mix of casual and cozy with a slight edge.

9. Teddy Bear Coat & Over-The-Knee Boots
