Now that we’re down to the last day of 2020, I’ve been thinking a lot about my favorite purchases of the year. Since you guys are always asking about the designer pieces in my wardrobe, I figured there’s no better way to conclude it than by sharing 12 items I splurged on that were worth every penny. It’s no secret that I value quality investment pieces that will last for years over trendier pieces that only get a season’s worth of wear. I just find that it’s better use of my time and resources – and I’d rather own something that I can utilize for as long as possible. From designer shoes and bags to practical home items, here are my favorite designer purchases that are currently in stock – and that I highly recommend purchasing.
Topshop Camel Coat (under $150) | Commando Black Bodysuit | Commando Faux Leather Leggings (wearing a S) | Chanel 19 Shearling Bag (similar here) | Chanel Beige Combat Boots (available in the Mia Mia Mine Shop, similar here and here) | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
I’ve been loving my beige Chanel combat boots and wear them repeatedly lately. They add an edgy yet elevated vibe to any outfit. They’re currently sold out everywhere, but I still have a few pairs available in the Mia Mia Mine Shop here.
Mango Plaid Shirt Jacket | Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (wearing an XS) | Chanel Combat Boots (better for budget here, here, and here) | Red Chanel Bag (similar here, better for budget here) | NY Yankees Cap
Over the summer, I purchased the classic Chanel flap bag in red – and I’m so glad that I did. I tend to wear darker colors and lots of neutrals in the fall and winter, so this bag has come in handy for making my outfits pop. You can read my full review here.
One of my favorite designer purchases of all time has to be the Chanel 19 shearling bag. I’ve been wanting a shearling bag for so long now, and this one made complete sense because of the classic, feminine look that suits my aesthetic.
I’m also still loving the Gucci belt – so much that I ended up purchasing the new brown color this year. I’ve been wearing a lot of brown and camel tones, so this belt really helps tie my outfits together. You can read my thoughts on whether the Gucci belt is still worth buying here.
Free People Dress (exact style sold out, similar here) | Chanel Bag | Alexandre Birman White Heels | Celine Sunglasses (exact style sold out, better for budget here) | Styled Collection Gold Bracelets
The Alexandre Birman Clarita heels are one of the few designer sandals that I own. Seeing how much I wear the black ones, I just knew I had to grab them in white when they went on sale earlier this year. They go perfectly with any warm weather outfit.
This chunky knit sweater has sold out constantly throughout the year – but is currently in stock at Bloomingdale’s. I love the oversized, slouchy fit and how it can be dressed up or down with the right pieces.
I purchased this red puffer jacket on a whim right before I traveled to Aspen back in January. And I can’t stop reaching for it with the weather being so cold lately. It’s such a fun statement piece that brightens up any winter outfit.
Verishop Gray Turtleneck Sweater (also love this one) | Similar Faux Leather Leggings | Givenchy Antigona Bag | Kyi Kyi Pom Pom Beanie | Celine Sunglasses (better for budget here) | Givenchy Antigona Bag | Moon Boots
I’m a huge fan of these snow boots because they’re lightweight, water-resistant, and slip resistant. Plus, they’re made to keep your feet warm even in freezing temps.
If you love a Parisian chic aesthetic, these mirrors are a must-have. They come in four different sizes and really elevate a space.
This vacuum might be pricey, but it’s worth every penny. Despite being cordless, it packs a punch with an incredibly powerful suction that throughly cleans a home. It’s great for cleaning up after the dogs and always makes my floors feel pristine.
I finally splurged on the Canon 24mm f/1.4 lens this year and it’s been one of my greatest investments yet. This wide angle lens is perfect for portraits, lifestyle photography, and more. I love how it makes me appear taller while capturing more of the background too.
If you struggle with dry skin in the winter like me, then you’ll love this serum. It contains a potent blend of hyaluronic acid, proxylane, licorice root and purple rice, which improves skin texture and restores elasticity. You can save 15% on your purchase today here, using the code SKINC15.
