The Cozy Sweater Styles Every Girl Needs

comments
Lately, I’ve been all about casual comfort, so my go-to outfit has been a pair of jeans with a cozy sweater. Since this is my usual winter uniform, it’s so important for me to have different sweater styles to rotate between. They’re foolproof if you want to look cute and stay warm, so you can never have too many. Since I always get a ton of questions about my sweaters, I decided to put together this guide that includes every style you’ll want to own from unique cutouts to ruffled knitwear and more.

Ruffled Sweaters
I’m always keeping an eye out for statement details that amp up basics, and ruffles are perfect for that. They’re great on sweaters because the fun, flirty detail dresses up anything you wear from denim to leggings.

Cold Shoulder
Cold-shoulder sweaters are one of my favorite things to wear in the winter. The exposed shoulder detail reveals the perfect amount of skin and is appropriate for women of all ages. I styled it casually in the photo above, but it can be jazzed up for a date night with some over-the-knee boots or a pair of pumps.

Cutout
One of the trendier sweater styles I can’t get enough of lately are those with unique cutouts. A keyhole cutout right around the neck area makes a turtleneck feel feminine and fresh. This eye-catching style is sure to elevate even the most relaxed jeans.

Knit Sets
I have a growing obsession with matching knitwear. It’s the perfect alternative to your typical sweatsuit or leggings if you want to stay cozy but look chic. Plus, they’re super easy to pull off since the pieces are made to be worn together.

Puff Shoulders or Sleeves
I adore a little sleeve interest in any top but especially in sweaters. Puffed shoulders or billowy sleeves takes a basic knit up a notch. Since they’re dressier than a typical pullover, I like that you can wear them to special gatherings in the winter.

Fleece Pullovers
Fleece pullovers have made a comeback in recent months and they’re a key style in my winter wardrobe right now. They’re great to bundle up in on the weekends when you’re staying in at home or heading on a winter vacation. Once you throw it on, I promise you won’t want to take it off!
