If there’s one thing I’ve learned about living in Minnesota all these years, it’s that a great outfit is the quickest way to get you out of a winter rut! Although getting dressed for the snow has its challenges, I can’t complain because it forces me to get creative with layering. This past month definitely put me to the test as I spent a good week skiing in Jackson Hole, then returned home to more snow. I wanted to round up some of my favorite outfits from January that you can take inspiration from and recreate through the remainder of winter.
Abercrombie Camel Blazer Coat (sold out, similar here and here) | Revolve Black Bodysuit | Commando Vinyl Leggings (wearing a S) | Revolve Tan Suede Booties (exact style sold out, similar here and here) | Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack | Tom Ford Sunglasses (exact style sold out, similar here and here)
1. Date Night Details
Dressing for date nights can be tricky at the start of the year because it’s so frigid outside. That’s why I love vinyl leggings. They take wardrobe staples from basic to level 10 instantly.
Max Mara Teddy Bear Coat (better for budget here and here) | Bloomingdale’s Ribbed Knit Jumpsuit | Timberland Boots | Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack | NY Yankees Cap | Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM Tote
2. Cozy Travel Attire
If you’re doing any traveling this winter, a knit jumpsuit is the best thing to wear. I wore this look as I was en route to Jackson Hole, WY and it kept me cozy and comfy the entire time. I’ve even been wearing various knit jumpsuits nonstop – you can see more of my favorites here.
Zara Beige Shacket (similar here and here) | Similar White Turtleneck Top | Topshop White Denim | Chanel Combat Boots (similar here and here) | Louis Vuitton Multi-Pochette Accessories Bag | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
3. Snow Days
I’ve been loving shackets lately as I’m sure you guys can tell. It’s such an easy piece to layer up in as you’re braving the cold. The menswear-inspired outerwear looks impeccable with edgy combat boots.
On Me: Free People Faux Shearling Jacket (on sale here) | H&M White Hoodie | Similar White Denim | Timberland Boots | Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack | NY Yankees Cap
On Phil: Shearling Jacket | Nordstrom Oversized Hoodie | White Denim | Timberland Boots | Ray-Ban Clubmaster Sunglasses | Carhartt Beanie
4. Shearling Obsession
Some of my obsessions this winter has been all faux shearling, sherpa and fleece textures. I grabbed Phil a few pieces to wear on our winter getaway and now he’s hooked too!
Goodnight Maracroon Plaid Shirt Jacket | Commando Vinyl Leggings | Chanel 19 Shearling Handbag (better for budget here) | Topshop Faux Fur Baseball Cap (similar here)
5. Apres Ski Style
One of the shackets I couldn’t get enough of last month was this one by Goodnight Macaron. It gives me major Chanel vibes and the thicker fabric is great for adding warmth. You can style it with leather leggings or denim or an easy, everyday look.
Nike Faux Fur Jacket | Nike Training Tights | Nike Hoodie Pullover | Nike Blazer Sneakers | Givenchy Antigona Bag
6. Winter Workout
Nothing motivates me to squeeze in a good workout like some new fitness gear. So, I picked up some new Nike pieces at Nordstrom. This faux fur jacket is great for wearing to the gym – it’s so sporty chic!
Revolve Lovers + Friends Moto Jacket (similar here and here) | Kyi Kyi Beanie (on sale now) | Chanel Combat Boots (better for budget here) | Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack | Black Denim | Revolve Lovers + Friends Black Sweater
7. Biker Jacket
I’m constantly asked about this biker jacket, but I’m always hesitant to spill the details because it never stays in stock for long. Fortunately, I found a few dupes that give the same cozy edge. If you’re coveting the exact style, be sure to follow me on the LikeToKnow. It app for the next restock alert.
Forever 21 Plaid Shacket | Forever 21 Bodysuit | Zara Faux Leather Pants (similar here and here) | Saint Laurent Envelope Bag | Christian Louboutin White Heels (better for budget here)
8. Winter Neutrals
This is one of the more recent shackets that I picked up – and it was an instant hit! It’s under $40 but looks so expensive with the faux pearl buttons and neutral print. There are so many ways to dress it up or down!
Tularosa Cardigan | Kyria Corset Bralette | Zara Tan Faux Leather Pants (similar here and here) | YSL Brooch | Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch 26 | Christian Louboutin White Heels (better for budget here)
9. Pop Of Lace
I live for a little texture play in the winter, and nothing beats a concoction of leather, lace, and ribbed knits. So many of you asked about this bralette – and I have nothing but great things to say. The quality is amazing for the price. Plus, you can save 25% off using the code MIAMIAMINE25.
Topshop Camel Coat | Revolve Sweater Dress | Stuart Weitzman Over The Knee Boots | Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch 26 | Tom Ford Sunglasses (exact style sold out, similar here and here)
10. Cozy Classics
Sweater dresses with over-the-knee boots will forever be my go-to uniform. This tried-and-true combo never fails to impress no matter how many times I see it. Mixing neutrals, like black and camel, together always feels fresh against the snow.
