fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing a red ny yankees cap and red chanel bagDenim makes up a good portion of my warm weather wardrobe, so it’s important for me to keep my looks updated with the latest cuts. If you’ve been following my blog, then you’d know that non-skinny jeans are my top choice this season. They’ve been dominating the fashion scene for a while – and can be found everywhere. I’ll be honest that they can be tricky to pull off, especially if you’ve been wearing skinny jeans for the past several years. However, there are so many good reasons to adopt this trend from the long-lasting comfort they offer with the looser fit to the effortlessly cool vibe. If you’re ready to work this trend into your wardrobe, keep scrolling for my tips on styling non-skinny jeans this season.

Go for edgy basics

I’m no stranger to edgy street style looks – and I love how you can really amp things up with non-skinny jeans. The trick to pulling this off is to ensure your proportions work. A cropped high-gloss jacket with a fitted top tucked in feels intentional while creating visual interest.

Cuffed with heels & a sweater

Whether you go for an ultra wide-leg or a straight silhouette, one surefire way to keep your non-skinny jeans outfit from feeling too relaxed is by cuffing it at the hem and adding sleek pumps. Just style this combination with a long-sleeve knit on top while it’s still cold out. I’d recommend bringing in feminine details, like a one-shoulder neckline, for a balanced look.

Pair it with the classics

Non-skinny jeans can look really chic with casual layers too. If you wear loose layers on top, a belt or a tie waist detail can help balance out the baggier bottom. I like wearing my jeans cuffed since I’m not super tall. However, keeping your jeans long and loose can create that coveted model-off-duty vibe.

Wear it with a corset top

It’s safe to say I love high-contrast looks – especially those that blend feminine and masculine elements. A corset or bustier top is exactly the contrast you need to balance out loose jeans. All you need to complete this feminine outfit is some pointed toe heels.

Style it with strappy heels

If you want to rock multiple spring trends at once, try styling your baggy jeans with strappy, lace-up sandals. This can be final touch you need to elevate a jeans and graphic tee look.
