These past few months, I’ve mostly been shopping for basics, but as we enter a new month, I have to admit that nothing breathes life into your wardrobe like the current trends. I typically rely on at least one of-the-moment piece to make my basics feel new whether that’s a fashion-forward top or a designer bag. As much fun as shopping for trends can be, it’s unrealistic to dip your toes into every singe one you come across. If you’re not sure where to start, I recommend browsing the latest arrivals at Nordstrom because it’s the easiest way to shop the best trends in one place – and at almost any price. Plus, you can’t really beat their shipping and return policies. Now that I’ve had enough time to absorb the biggest spring trends of the season, I thought I’d share five of my favorites that make a case for trying something fresh.
Knit Midi Dresses
Knit midi dresses are one of spring’s most flattering trends, and I’m here for it! It flatters literally every body type and is so easy to style for both casual and formal events. I love the timelessness of this trend because it means you can buy it and keep it for the next few years.
There are many variations of the wraparound trend right now from bow-tie straps to strings that go around the waist. You’ve probably seen them in the form of tops and swimwear on Instagram, but don’t be surprised to find them on skirts too. This is a trend I’ve yet to adopt in my daily wear, but I’m loving how sultry it is for the warmer temps.
The puffy, padded handbag trend is still going strong in 2021, all thanks to Bottega Veneta. Fortunately, Nordstrom is always spot-on with their trend selection, which means there’s an option for every budget. I linked some of my favorites below.
White Heels & Sandals
For some, wearing white heels have been a fashion faux pas, but personally, I’ve always been a proponent. I love how they make an outfit more glam and are super eye-catching. If you haven’t jumped on this trend yet, it’s not too late. Nordstrom has so many fresh styles under $150 that I can’t get enough of.
Chunky Gold Jewelry
I’m sure you guys know by now that I tend to be more of minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I’ve always opted for delicate chains and barely-there pieces, but lately, I’ve been obsessed with chunky gold jewels. From thick chains to oversized rings, the trend can do wonders for a basic outfit.
