Budget-Friendly & Trendy Summer Staples You Need in 2021

It isn’t summer quite yet, but many of my favorite retailers are already dropping the seasons’s best trends. As a fashion influencer, it’s natural for me to gravitate towards the buzziest pieces of the moment. However, the pragmatic in me strives to be a little more restrained. One of the ways I keep a healthy balance of both is by shopping for trendy staples that are easy on the wallet and have that up-to-date feeling. Express always does an exceptional job mixing trendy details with classic silhouettes. Their summer collection is no different. All the pieces are wearable no matter where you’re headed and easy to work into outfits you already own. Ahead, I wanted to share my favorite trendy summer staples from Express that will keep your wardrobe up to date.
Linen Fashion
Sunny days call for light, breathable fabrics like linen, gauze, eyelet and more. I find that linen is as comfy and relaxed as sweatpants but without the undone vibe, so it’s always a top pick. Plus, it has a soft tailored look to it, making it easy to style up or down. When I saw this blazer, I knew I had to have it as it’s great for professional settings, special occasions, and more.
Tie Details
I’ll be the first to admit that I pretty much live in basics once summer rolls around. Think tank tops, tees, and bodysuits – but they’re even better when they come with unique details that make them feel not so basic. Bow-tie straps and tie details always do it for me. I love how they make the most simple pieces infinitely cuter. This Express bodysuit is the perfect example. It’s so fun and chic whether you style it with denim, shorts, or even joggers.
Two-Piece Sets
I’m still harping away at two-piece sets because they take the guesswork out of looking stylish in a heartbeat. If you’re struggling to find high-quality sets that won’t break the bank, you definitely need to check out the options at Express. Whether you’re looking for dressier designs you can wear for a night on the town or more relaxed, loungewear sets, you can find it all right here.
Easy Bottoms
Part of the joy in summer dressing is piecing together chic separates for a look that’s fun, trendy, and classy all at the same time. That means keeping a stash of easy bottoms on hand from wide leg pants to midi skirts and casual shorts to dressy joggers.
Slides & Lace-Up Sandals
When it comes to summer footwear, there are really only two new styles to add to your closet: easy slides and lace-up sandals. These slides are great for weekends, travel and vacations when you’re doing a lot of walking. However, you’ll also want to have cute heels on hand for weddings and date nights. What I love most about Express heels are that they’re comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time.
