Under $100 Summer Trends That Look Expensive

There’s no denying that I get excited about a designer gem, but nothing gives me a rush of excitement like a fashion item that looks and feels expensive without a crazy price tag. Over the years of shopping for a living, I’ve learned that there are really only two factors that make something look high fashion regardless of brand and price – and that’s the fabric and fit. The good news is that there are plenty of pieces on the market that merge those two things even if you’re on a budget. You can find plenty of them at Nordstrom. I’ve always loved shopping at Nordstrom for their range of high and low brands because, regardless of price, just about everything looks expensive! Keep scrolling for my latest finds.
Linen Separates
My style skews on the dressier side, so I naturally gravitate towards textiles that look expensive. In the summertime, that’s usually linen. I just love how it offers both quality and style while looking effortlessly chic. These linen joggers are the perfect example of that. Although linen is on-trend each summer, you can expect to see it everywhere this year.
Ribbed Tops
Ribbed knits also tend to err on the more formal side, so I’m glad that they’re super trendy this year. The form-fitting nature of ribbed knits make them easy to pair with jeans, trousers, and even loungewear. Look for details like cutouts and interesting necklines for an elevated feel. You can find plenty of them at Nordstrom under the $50 mark – I linked some of my favorites below.
One-Piece Outfits
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the one-piece outfit whether it’s a jumpsuit, romper or a cute dress. These three hero items don’t just make getting dressed immensely easier – but actually fun! A cute sundress, whether in a solid color or a bold print, is always stylish when mixed with your neutral accessories. Jumpsuits and rompers feel a bit more off-beat and fashion forward. The best part about one pieces is that they won’t break the bank yet always look luxe!
Tailored Outerwear
Tailored jackets continue to rage on and I have no complaints. I already have a vast collection of blazers and jackets, so I’ve been on the hunt for unique pieces that veer from what I already own. That’s translated into asymmetrical elements and sleeveless silhouettes. I was surprised to find some great pieces under $100 at Nordstrom.
Romantic Makeup
No outfit will look put together and luxe if you don’t have a made up face! That’s why I’m such a fan of this season’s romantic makeup trend. Think natural glowing skin, fluttery lashes, rosy cheeks, and just bitten lips. Nordstrom carries the best of makeup brands from Charlotte Tilbury to Armani Beauty – it makes updating your vanity insanely easy.
