Luxe Yet Affordable Pieces to Complete Your Holiday Outfits

fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing faux leather pants and a sequin blazer from expressThe second week of November is almost over and that means the holiday season is essentially upon us! It’s one of my favorite times to make an impression, so I figured I’d start shopping for fun, festive pieces that I can wear throughout the next few weeks. Since these pieces are often short-lived, I always try to go after items that look and feel luxe but come with more affordable prices. Right now, Express tops of my list of destinations for holiday party dressing. They recently debuted their holiday collection and it’s brimming with everything I’d want to wear from sequins to celebratory knits and dramatic accessories. No matter what your style preference and budget is, I think you’ll find the best pieces to complete your holiday outfits at Express. Below, I’m showcasing some of my recent finds that you shouldn’t wait to buy.

Sequin Fashion

I love using the holiday season as an excuse to wear fun, dazzling pieces I don’t wear throughout the year. That typically translates into sequins! This season, Express makes it so easy for you to experiment with various sequin silhouettes and combinations. I picked out this sequin blazer to wear with these faux leather, split-hem pants for a polished-meets-party look. However, there you can also try these sequin trousers and a knit top. There’s really no limit to what you can create!

Satin Dream

Besides sequin, I’m also really into satin during the holidays. I honestly believe that a satin camisole is one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your wardrobe. This one is particularly unique because of the rhinestone chain detailing in the back. It’s so much fun and can easily be styled into a full-blown party outfit.

Dressed in Red

My all-time favorite holiday outfit has to involve the color red! It always looks so sexy and smart in any silhouette. A red sweater dress with some boots will never fail you, but if you prefer something more subdued, go for darker red pieces (like this). I love that it still channels the same festive energy but in a sophisticated and understated way.

Festive Knits

If you want to put a festive spin on your everyday uniform, a glam sweater is the way to go. Playful colors like red and green are unmistakable although neutral colors with fun accents like this are great too. Don’t underestimate the power of puffed up sleeves or an ultra fuzzy texture. Any of these tops are the kind I’d resort to for corporate holiday parties or casual gatherings with friends and family.

Statement Accessories

On any regular day, you wouldn’t find me in statement jewelry or bold accessories. However, the holiday season is a completely different story. I live for glitzy earrings to add dimension to more simple outfits – but also to spice up an already fancy frock. I was so impressed with Express’ offerings of tassel earrings and rhinestone accessories this season. They really take the holiday vibes up a notch! I rounded up several favorites below that would level up any look.
