Where I’m Shopping For Every Major Winter Trend

We’re about to enter another season, and just like any other new beginning, I find myself struggling to balance out my budget with my wardrobe needs. As a blogger, I’m constantly combing through my favorite sites to get my fashion check list in order. The challenge with doing so is that my desires rack up fast with so many new trends to tap into. Of course, the trick to having a trend-right wardrobe that’s friendly on the wallet is knowing where to shop. If I had to pick just one place that gives you the best of both worlds, it’d have to be Express. Season after season, Express nails down the buzziest trends worn by stylists and celebrities alike. Not only that but they manage to deliver loads of updated basics and classic staples, so you can create the perfect mix-and-match wardrobe. I couldn’t be more excited to step outside this season with so many fun winter trends to try. Here are my favorites that you can start shopping now while staying within your budget.
Apres Ski Style
Ski wear has been on the rise over the past few years and it’s evolved to become 2021’s hottest winter trend. Think of it as an extra cozy take on athleisure, consisting of oversized puffer coats, chunky knits, and faux fur trims. As evidenced below, Express has done a wonderful job translating that into everyday wear. I love both this faux fur biker jacket and this high-shine puffer. You can nail that chic apres ski vibe with either style.
Statement Dresses
The start of winter is defined by the holiday season, so warm, statement dresses always come into play. One eye-catching detail I’m particularly drawn to is feminine ruching. Express’ take on the trend with this dress might be subtle but it makes all the difference in the world. It feels slightly more elevated, and therefore, easier to dress up or down.
Sparkle & Shine
Glitter, sequins, and lustrous fabrics are typically reserved for special events and parties. However, you can expect to see them as daywear this winter. To make them work, just style with more casual basics like denim, oversized blazers and cozy knits. You can even reach for rhinestone earrings during the day for a low-key nod to the trend.
Leather Weather
Leather might be intrinsic to the colder seasons, but you can take it a step further by wearing a head-to-toe leather look. Express makes this so effortless to pull off with a myriad of pieces to pick from. These patent leather leggings with this faux leather puffer makes a casual, cool combo. However you can also opt for this faux leather skirt and this blazer.
Cool Cutouts
The cutout craze will remain one of the top winter trends. I love how Express channels the peekaboo style through modest knit dresses and basic tees. They’re minimalistic and contemporary, which makes them easy to style for any occasion.
