5 Essential Snow Boots To Survive Winter In Style

comments
During fall, I tend to reach for heeled booties and structured knee-high boots. But in the thick of winter when the snow is coming down hard, they aren’t the most practical. Thankfully, there are a number of cute snow boots that are perfect for this time of the year. Best of all, they marry comfort and style, making them cute enough for dinner dates, winter getaways and beyond. Currently, there are 5 specific snow boots that I think every girl should own. I’ll be breaking them down below and sharing some of the best ways to style them.

1. Shearling Boots
First up is the notorious faux shearling (or faux fur) boot. When you’re trekking through the snow and want to ensure your feet will stay warm, these are just perfect. The lining is typically waterproof so you don’t have to worry about your feet getting wet. In terms of styling, I love playing up the texture with a shearling coat and a faux fur bag.

2. Padded Boots
Padded boots are perhaps the snow shoe of the season. Moon boots in particular reign supreme – and for good reason. They live up to their promise of keeping feet comfortable in the coldest temperatures while providing traction on slippery surfaces. Given the bulkier shape, I love styling them with leggings and a chunky knit sweater.

3. Lug Sole Boots
If you’re on the hunt for an edgier, trend-forward snow boot, look no further than chunky lug sole boots. The thick, non-slip sole will get you through the trickiest surfaces. You can keep the cool-girl vibes going strong with a shearling moto jacket and slim fit jeans.

4. Shearling Hiker Boots
Whether you’re out on a snow-filled weekend or taking a trip to a new city, shearling hiker boots will never steer you wrong. I love how they up the cozy aesthetic without compromising the edge. This season, I’ve been pairing mine with a shearling shacket and faux leather leggings.

5. Rubber Boots
When I really need to protect my feet in the winter, rubber boots come to the rescue. A taller shaft is key if you don’t want to deal with wet, soggy socks. Since they’re super easy to slip into, you can wear them with anything. However, I prefer to keep my look casual and sleek with a parka, skinny pants and a trim bodysuit.
