It’s safe to say that white is one of my all time favorite colors to wear no matter what season we’re in. It’s chicer than anything else, especially when put together from head-to-toe. Since white is commonly associated with the warmer months, it can be trickier to wear before spring. During these transitional months, I find that textures and layers are key to creating a seasonally appropriate look. The only issue with this is that not many retailers have a huge selection of white clothing and accessories available since it’s technically still winter. If you’re interested in building out that part of your wardrobe now, you should definitely head to Nordstrom. They’re always stocked with the latest trends and manage to get a hold of brands you can’t find at other major department stores, like Topshop, & Other Stories – and they’ve even started to carry Mango! I was surprised to find such a great variety of white pieces this early in the year. Here are some of the ways you can wear my favorite spring color now.

1. Outerwear

Adding a white coat or jacket to your look is perhaps the easiest way to incorporate the color into your looks. Nordstrom has a strong selection that’s suitable for any climate. For instance, this teddy bear coat is perfect for states up north that still get snow throughout March, like Minnesota and New York. They also carry chic blazers for warmer coastal states and cozy shackets for everywhere in between.

2. Leather

To achieve a more transitional vibe, you can always opt for white leather. Pieces, like these trousers, are easy to layer up on the coldest days. However, they’re just as easy to style with a white blouse as the weather warms up. I love the split hem detail for an updated take on the skinny trousers.

3. Handbag

White is also a great pop color to bring more contrast to your looks. I love a white handbag against other neutrals like gray, camel, or black. When I’m wearing a white on white ensemble, I try to choose accessories that are slightly different in tone to add a touch of dimension to the outfit. Ivory and off-white handbags always do the trick.

4. Shoes & Hats

Finally, white shoes and hats are great ways to put the final touches on your looks. If you need closed-toe shoes, Nordstrom has a variety of boots and pumps to get you through the last days of winter. But if you’re ready for spring, you’ll find plenty of sandals to ground your wardrobe for the new season. Hats are really optional but I love how they add a stylish flair to any look.
