Spring is in full swing, and if you want to look updated for the current season without spending a ton of time or money figuring out what you need to stay fresh, a capsule wardrobe is your best solution. While most capsule wardrobes are composed of a limited number of seasonless items, I like to put a small spin on mine and throw one or two key trends into the mix. I find that this is the best way to stay excited about your wardrobe. Not only that but you’ll look as relevant as ever when you do pair those eye-catching trends with more classic styles. As I do every year, I wanted to share an updated spring capsule wardrobe that makes sense for 2022. Neutral Blazer

Every year, a neutral blazer never fails to make it to my capsule wardrobe list. This sophisticated piece will easily take you from the office to dinner. You can even throw it over your pajamas to look Zoom-ready from the waist up. This Nordstrom brand one is under $80 and feels just right for spring with the oversized fit.

Button-Down Shirt

Button-down shirts are trendier than ever and I’m here for it. I’m partial to white ones because they look amazing over (and under) anything – and can be styled in a million different ways. However, you can opt for a colored one to add a bold pop to your neutral looks.

Straight Leg Jeans

When it comes to denim, I’m all about a straight leg cut. Don’t get me wrong – I love the baggy denim trend. However, straight leg jeans are a safer bet when you need something that will carry you seamlessly from one event to the next. Nordstrom has a variety of options at all price points, but this Topshop pair is my top pick. The raw hem and lighter wash are just so effortless for spring and summer.

Ribbed Tops & Dresses

Ribbed fabrics are another obsession of mine this season. Whether it’s a tank top, fitted tee or midi dress, they’re so easy to throw on and layer if needed. I just love the ease of how they feel.

Puff Sleeve Dress

Dresses are practically made for spring, so I can’t create a capsule wardrobe without mentioning a few options. If I had to pick just one style to buy into, it’d be a puff sleeve dress. They’re so feminine and make me feel like a million bucks every time I throw one on. Plus, they’re flattering on everyone!

Woven Accessories

Straw bags and hats are an integral part of any warm weather look and I can’t seem to get enough of them lately. This Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Crochet Tote is my latest investment piece. Braided Sandals

Braided sandals have been trending for quite some time now and for good reason. They add textural interest to an outfit while looking so chic on their own.
