The Spring Color Trends I’m Loving & How to Style Them

fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing karen millen white pants and a red blazerThere was so much color on the runways last spring from airy, pastel hues to bold neon tones, it’s hard not to get excited about them. And while I’m all about wearing neutrals, I can’t seem to resist the urge to give into some color lately. It’s a foolproof way to shake things up when your wardrobe feels stale and make an outfit pop. Plus, with the weather is warming up, there’s no better time to experiment with color. Today, I wanted to give you all a rundown of the colors I have my eyes on and how you can wear them without feeling out of place.

Green

Green is relevant across the spectrum whether you’re into sage or lime. However, Kelly green officially takes centerstage for spring. Fashion girls are donning this color from head to toe, but my approach would be with accessories – like a pair of shoes or a handbag. Basics in this color also work because you can temper it with light layers.

Baby Blue

You can also expect pastel colors to come back in a big way. They’re not just easy to incorporate into your wardrobe but make complete sense for spring. My newest obsession has to be baby blue – it’s just so calming and easy on the eyes. Baby blue is also super easy to wear and comes in a variety of silhouettes. Take your pick from easy tops to casual dresses to formal ones. You can’t go wrong.

Hot Pink

If you love feminine style as much as I do, you definitely need to add hot pink pieces to your spring lineup. Pink statement tops look sublime with white denim – but I’m especially obsessed with hot pink dresses. They’re so fun for a vacation or a night out. You also don’t need to do much accessorizing because the color stands out on its own.

Lavender

Another pastel favorite is lavender. It’s such a beautiful color that anyone can pull off. Lavender dresses are fit for any occasion whether that’s Mother’s Day brunch, graduations or spring weddings. But you can also work it into your everyday outfits with basic bodysuits and cardigans. It’s just so pretty and pairs will with just about any other color!

Yellow

Besides red, yellow is probably one of the colors that I wear most. It’s a universally flattering color – and can make any skin tone look brighter. Lucky for us, yellow takes the form of any fashion item you can think of and is suitable in both casual and dressier settings.
