What To Wear Over Memorial Day Weekend

I also consider it the opportune moment to get your summer style off on the right foot (and to make time for relaxation and self-care). If you’re not sure what looks to wear over the long weekend, I’ll be covering some easy formulas that you can throw on whether you’re out on the lake, enjoying a picnic in the park or whatever else that comes your way. The best part is that you can keep wearing these looks on repeat even long after the holiday is over. Since we’re still over two weeks out, you can be sure that everything will ship in time too!

1. Coordinating Set

If you need a versatile outfit that truly does it all, make a matching set your holiday go-to. They’re equal parts dressy and comfortable (depending on how you style them) – and will carry you all the way from sunrise til dusk. As I always say, the styling efforts to pull this look together are minimal so you can spend more time enjoying your time off.

2. One-Piece Swimsuit

If you’re hanging out by the pool, be sure to rock a simple one-piece swimsuit – that way, you’ll be prepared to take a dip or to elevate your look once you’re dry. For instance, you can slip into some denim cutoffs, a maxi skirt, or flowy white pants. No one would ever know you’re wearing a swimsuit on top.

3. Cardigan Set & Relaxed Jeans

If you’ll be out in the desert or laying low where temperatures might vary, keep it simple in loose jeans and a cardigan set. Being able to add and peel off layers is key and this is the most effortless way to achieve that. Knitwear is particularly trendy this summer, so you won’t look out of place either.

4. Graphic Tee & Denim Shorts

One of my go-to looks for any summer holiday is a graphic tee and denim shorts. It’s the easiest combination to accessorize in order to achieve the vibe you’re after. Wear this look if you’ll be doing tons of walking because it pairs especially well with sneakers and chunky sandals. If you want to give it more life, reach for colorful accessories and a cool jacket.

5. Cropped Top & Dad Pants

Cropped tops are always in for spring and summer whether you want to expose just a hint of your midriff or prefer to go all out with a bra top. For an effortlessly chic Memorial Day Weekend outfit, take your pick and style it with high-waisted dad pants.

6. Cutout Top & Denim Cutoffs

Another great option for your denim cutoffs is a cutout top. This is the way to go if you want to add something a little special into the mix. Cutout tees and bodysuits look trendy but still feel understated, which sets the mood for a summer holiday.
