The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 opened up to Icon members yesterday, and I was lucky enough to head over to my local Nordstrom store to try on all the pieces on my wish list (HERE). But as you know, things can change when you see them in person. That was certainly the case yesterday. I even discovered a few items I didn’t think I would love but ended up obsessing over. Whether you’re shopping for pieces to wear now and later or fall staples, this year’s NSALE definitely doesn’t disappoint. I tried on a ton of pieces and narrowed down the absolute best pieces to just a few. Scroll ahead for the items I purchased along with 25 outfits I’m sure you’ll love.

I’m a sucker for a good off-the-shoulder top, and this Free People one was just too good to pass up. It’s the perfect weight, feels incredibly soft on the skin and looks really luxe. I paired it with the best jeans, also included in the NSALE, by AG (HERE) – the cropped length is super flattering if you’re petite.
This Vince sweater has to be my ultimate pick from the sale. I love the oversized fit – it’s so cozy and looks amazing with your favorite leggings. It’s a little pricey but worth the investment as it’ll last for years to come. Plus, it’ll reach go-to status in your fall wardrobe.
If you missed out on the Vince coatigan during last year’s NSALE, this is your chance to grab the updated version. The collarless design gives it a cool, laidback vibe. For premium denim under $100, be sure to check out these Pistola jeans. I ended up loving them more than I thought I would. The cut, fit and distressing remind me of the Mother Tomcat jeans but for only half the price.
You girls know I love edgy looks for fall. The AllSaints Balfern leather jacket and these affordable leggings are all you need to achieve model-off-duty vibes. The cherry on top is this ivory panama hat (under $50). If you only buy one hat from the sale, this should be it.
Fall is all about neutral tones for me. I especially love ivory and camel hues together, so this look has to be one of my favorites. Vests are going to be huge this fall and this piece lets you lean into the trend now.
Here’s another casual fall look that you can wear while running errands. The hint of leather with the leggings and baseball cap take this basic cashmere sweater to another level.
This shacket wasn’t on my radar at all – but I fell in love with it once I tried it on. You can wear it as a dress if you’re petite like me – or use it as a light layer in the fall.
Another leather pick is these pants with the trouser-like silhouette. I love how clean it looks, making it easy to style from the office to the weekend. I paired it with the Vince coatigan but in the charcoal color.
Here’s another take on the coat vest from above. It can be styled for the office or casually on the weekends. I layered it over this versatile (and budget-friendly) sweater that you’ll want in every color!
This outfit proves just how versatile the Vince coatigan is – you can wear it with virtually everything from jeans to leggings to dresses. The same goes for the sleek leather leggings. Dress them up or down for any occasion!
This Free People sweater is another gem from the NSALE. It didn’t cross my mind at all when perusing the sale but I’m glad I didn’t skip out on it. The collared design, oversized fit and ribbed texture are a match made in heaven!
Here’s a non-basic all-black outfit from the NSALE. I’m wearing the same faux leather pants that I showcased earlier with the Free People knit top in black. Break up the monochrome look with these clear strap heels that are currently 50% off and under $60! They’re one of the best budget finds in the event.
You can never have too many sweaters in your wardrobe. I love this one by AllSaints with the asymmetrical hem and funnel neck. You can throw it on over anything and it’ll elevate it.
This plaid shacket is the easiest thing to wear when it’s cold outside. I’ll be wearing mine with leggings and a t-shirt on the weekends.
I’ve been a fan of Naked Wardrobe for their skin-like basics that can be styled in endless ways. I was excited to see that there were several pieces in the NSALE, like this dress. You can layer it to perfection with different coats and accessories.
I’m really digging the western vibes of this look with the shearling jacket, suede booties and panama hat. The jacket is even better in person than online.
As I just said, the faux leather pants can be styled up or down. Here’s one casual way to pull it off with a basic bralette and baseball cap.
Giving you all a different combination with the coatigan, hat and camel sweater. I’m all about versatile basics and these three items are the trifecta.
I’m wearing a French Connection dress here with the best camel coat of the sale! I had a few other pieces on my wish list but went with a completely different version. I really like how this one has a stand up collar, which takes an outfit to new heights. It adds polish and sophistication like no other.
I purchased the camel version of this coat in previous years and loved it so much that I knew I needed it in gray. It has a bit of a ruana flair to it, which is going to be huge in the coming months.
The last look I’m excited to share features another Vince cardigan coat but in a cropped version. It wears a bit like an oversized blazer so you can style it just like one. It looks so effortless and is incredibly easy to incorporate into your existing wardrobe.
