When it comes to shopping – even for special occasions, versatility is my highest priority. I just know something belongs in my closet when I can envision myself wearing it in more than one way. That means focusing on pieces that I can dress down during the day and up for the evening when shopping for clothes. It’s especially crucial in the summer when I have a tendency to cave into fleeting trends for all the fun gatherings I have to attend. I’m sure your social calendar is just as jam-packed with getaways, dinner dates and more, so I wanted to highlight the five most versatile pieces that require little styling when you need outfits that go from day to night. When I’m shopping for dress styles that go seamlessly from one occasion to the next, I keep a close eye on casual elements, like cotton textures or a fit-and-flare silhouette.
