Travel days aren’t ever too fun – especially when long haul flights are involved. However, one of the easiest ways to take the stress out of it is to ensure you’re dressed in comfortable clothing. For me, that usually consists of leggings, joggers or denim with warm but thin layers since I tend to get cold. Sneakers are also key for maximum comfort if you’ll be running through airports. Since we’ll be heading into the thick of the holiday season – when it’s the busiest time of the year to travel – I thought I’d share 6 airport outfit ideas that help make traveling a breeze.
Wrap Coat, Hoodie & Leggings
Whether I’m on a road trip or on an airplane, the comfort factor of an outfit is my highest priority. You’ll often catch me wearing leggings on my travel days. I swear by my Spanx leggings because they’re edgy but feel like loungewear. Plus, you can easily elevate them with a belted coat.

Sweatsuit & Matching Sneakers
Trench Coat, Workout Set & High Top Sneakers
Workout sets tend to make for an effective airport outfit because they’re comfortable, snug and easy to style. I’m obsessed with these Amazon sets and love changing up their look with the swap of a few layers. My secret weapon for polishing things up has to be the trench coat.
Ivory Coat, Workout Set & Crossbody Bag
This outfit here is an exact variation of the one above it. Anytime you’re in the mood to breathe new life into a basic outfit combination, going monochromatic manages to look fresh – especially white and ivory tones.
Poncho, Workout Set & Oversized Tote
No one wants to feel restricted while they’re en route anywhere, which is why a poncho makes the perfect travel companion. It’s roomy, gives you full mobility while offering warmth. You can even use it as a blanket once you’ve settled into the car or airplane.

Biker Jacket, Henley Tee & Faux Leather Leggings
When in doubt, you can trust that a leather biker jacket makes for a functional travel layer. It’s lightweight and full of style, so you’ll get plenty of wear from it once you’ve reached your destination. As for what to wear underneath, a henley tee is step up from a bralette or white tee.
