Winter essentials, such as snow boots, puffer jackets, and sweaters won’t just help you tackle the cold in style but keep you warm for any activity that comes up. I’ve been scooping a ton of new winter essentials from Saks Fifth Avenue and wanted to share my go-to pieces for making this upcoming season your chicest yet. I love shopping at Saks because they curate amazing collections that help you dress for any season. Their “Winter” and “Ski” edits have been my favorite since you can find a cozy new look in one place. Keep scrolling for my ultimate must-haves.

Puffer Coat

The one coat worth investing in every season that’s guaranteed to keep you toasty is the puffer. I love any style made by SAM. The coats feature high-performance fabrics – and many are also wind resistant and water repellant. They’re well-priced for the quality and I love that they’re warm enough to endure freezing temperatures. Saks carry the best selection of SAM. coats.

The key to looking chic in the winter is all about layers. That said, not all base layers are created equal. I usually pick up a couple of basics for the purpose being layered underneath heavy coats, chunky sweaters or dresses. That usually consists of turtleneck sweaters, like this ribbed knit top, that can be worn underneath everything for a more seamless yet still cozy look.

Snow Boots

If you’ve started experiencing the first few snowfalls of winter, you’re probably starting to make more practical wardrobe choices. One piece that I absolutely can’t go without right now is snow boots. I love shopping for boots at Saks because they have various styles fit for any budget. Whether you’re looking for a designer pair or something affordable with a non-slip sole, you’ll find it below.

There’s hardly an easier winter piece to style than leggings! One way to switch it up from your basic yoga pants are to swap them out for Commando’s patent leather leggings or faux leather leggings. I own both variations in multiple patterns and they never fail to pull the most casual look together.

When styling an outfit for the cold, you won’t find me in more than three layers at a time. This helps ensure that I won’t be so bundled up that I can’t move. Once the essential garments are on, I move onto accessories. Cashmere scarves, faux fur or sherpa accessories and gloves are all key to navigating the cold. This Burberry one might be pricey, but it’s made of 96% cashmere, which truly shields you from the biting wind.
