The Spring Trends I’m Doubling Down On
With the weather finally warming up, it’s time to update your wardrobe with fresh new pieces that will invigorate your look. This season, I’m doubling down on a few key trends that are sure to shake things up from bright colors to bold prints, and anything that makes me feel happy and confident. I’m also saying goodbye to super skinny jeans and embracing more relaxed fits. Statement sandals are another must-have for me this season, especially sculptural heels and woven, strappy designs. If there’s one place that carries it all (and more), it’s Nordstrom. I love their wide selection of high-quality, on-trend items that aren’t overpriced. Plus, Nordstrom’s easy online shopping experience make it the ultimate destination for all of your spring fashion needs. Scroll ahead for all the pieces on my wish list.
If you love to experiment with fashion but don’t want to stray too far from the classics, you’ll want to lean into dopamine dressing. This trend is all about embracing cheerful colors that instantly lift your mood. I’m personally loving citrus shades like lemon yellow and lime green – they just look amazing in everything from tailored pieces to basics. My blazer and bodysuit are perfect examples of that.
I’m also stoked for the spring suiting trend, which is all about channeling polished and professional vibes while staying comfortable and chic. Smart jackets and trousers in coordinating colors are brilliant because you can style these pieces together or mix and match with other items in your wardrobe for a more casual take.
For the past few years, we’ve all been moving away from skinny jeans and embracing relaxed styles that offer extra comfort and versatility. Nordstrom has a range of denim options that are perfect for the season, including straight-leg jeans, wide-leg silhouettes and cargo denim. Whether you prefer a more classic or edgy look, there’s a non-skinny pair that’s perfect for you.
Skirts are also making a comeback this season, especially long midi and maxi lengths. I’ve always loved their elongating effect, and how they offer endless styling options. You can pair them with a simple t-shirt and sandals for a casual daytime look or dress them up with a cutout bodysuit and heels for a night out. One style that’s particularly on-trend is denim maxi skirts.
Nothing gets me more excited for the warmer weather than sandals. I can’t get enough of woven straps, sculptural heels, and bold colors lately. Each element instantly catches the eye with their striking designs – and puts that unique finishing touch on an outfit. For instance, these Marc Fisher heels. They’re vibrant yet understated, making them suitable for everything from tailored trousers to faded denim.
