Basic neutrals are a great way to build a solid wardrobe. The majority of my wardrobe is black and white – which allows for endless outfit combinations. While I love basics for classic looks and color coordinating ease, I always look for basics with added details and unique silhouettes. I love this crochet turtleneck with ruffled shoulders – which create a feminine silhouette. Black tops are my go-to especially in the fall. Black works great for layering and is the perfect foundation for pairing with dark fall colors.
Here are my top 5 favorite styles for fall:
Crochet cardigan – A cardigan is great for layering. I love this crocheted version to dress up a casual outfit.
Cold-shoulder – A great transition from summer’s off-shoulder trend, the cold-shoulder style shows just a hint of skin while still keeping you warm.
Lace-up – Oversized eyelets add a playful touch to an otherwise basic sweater.
Oversized pullover – For those days when comfort is your top priority, an oversized pullover does the trick. I love pairing oversized pullovers with leggings for an easy fall outfit.
Chunky Turtleneck – Turtlenecks are one of the most versatile sweater styles – easily transitioning from work to the weekend. I like pairing mine with an A-line skirt for an office-ready look and my favorite jeans for a casual weekend look.
