Although I’m typically caught wearing jeans all the time, I have to confess, there’s nothing I enjoy more than getting dressed up for a nice evening out. I really appreciate any opportunity to get dolled up for a special occasion since they’re so far and few in between these days – even if it’s just for a nice dinner and drinks with Phil. When it comes to shopping for the perfect outfit to wear, I have a few resources up my sleeve that never fail to have an amazing selection of dresses. So I thought I’d round up my favorite brands for evening dresses no matter what occasion you might have turn up.

Bardot

Australian powerhouse brand, Bardot, is a great place to shop for feminine and affordable evening dresses. I love Bardot because they really know how to play up all of the current trends in a way that’s upscale and chic. Their lace, ruffle, and floral choices are some of my favorites.

Yumi Kim

If your style leans on the soft and flirty side, Yumi Kim is an expert in these dresses. Many of her collections utilize gorgeous florals, adapting them to anytime of the year. You can find a lot of classic silhouettes within her collections, including off-the-shoulder styles, wrap dresses, and slit details that are great for weddings.

A Lovers + Friends dress knows how to look flattering on just about anyone. They have nailed down the ideal cut and detail of each, ensuring you look your best. I can always find an evening dress at Lovers + Friends when all else fails. They are one of my go-to places when I need something to wear for a blogger event.

Self Portrait is best known for its eponymous use of ruffles and lace – and every piece is just stunning! All the dresses always look so artful. The blend of unique fabrics and bold colors result in pieces that blur the lines between art and evening wear.

No matter what it is you are shopping for, you can always count on Asos to have it. Thanks to its large assortment of brands and designers, Asos has just about everything under the sun – including a ton of dresses that range from cocktail pieces to gowns suitable for a wedding. I can often find beautiful tulle and embroidered dresses from Asos.

Reformation

If you’re into sustainable fashion, Reformation is one of the best shops to find something special to wear for a night out. They use lots of feminine cuts within their pieces, including high-slits, square necklines, and two piece sets. Plus, they cater to those with a more trendy sense of style but prefer to keep it timeless and classy.

For Love & Lemons

Lastly, if you are on the hunt for something that combines femininity and allure, you should keep an eye out for one of my favorite brands, For Love & Lemons. Known for their use of more delicate fabrics including lace and sheer panels, their dresses are guaranteed to leave everyone you come across in awe.
