In the winter, I live for darker colors and edgier pieces, but it’s a completely different story when it comes to the warmer months. One of the things that I get super excited for as temperatures rise is prints! They’re so easy to throw on over jeans or shorts and instantly put me in a better mood! Looking back, I’ve noticed that there are a few patterns that I always fall back on when I want to elevate my look with little effort. I wanted to round those up for you guys in case you’re updating your wardrobes! As much as I love winter, I’m ready for a change and can’t wait to pull out those catchy prints for spring and summer.

Floral

Florals are always such a great print to welcome the new season despite sounding so cliche. Personally, I love how it gives us a break from darker winter colors. This season, I’m excited to try retro florals for a change since they’re flirty yet not overly cute.

Stripes

When I think of the ideal spring outfit, it almost always involves stripes and white. My favorite combo is white and navy because I love how it exudes nautical vibes – but brighter colors are so much fun too. You can never go wrong with a stripe tee underneath a blazer.

Polka Dot

Polka dots are such a cute and feminine print for the warmer seasons. While they’ve been going strong for the last two years now, there are no signs of polka dots going away. Some of my favorite pieces include romantic blouses, retro swimwear, and wrap dresses. I love how this print pairs so well with straw and wicker accessories.

Fruits

If you’re tired of the typical floral, stripes, and polka dot prints, then fruits are a great way to shake up your wardrobe and add some brightness to your looks. I’ve been loving fruit prints on clothes, especially lemons and cherries.

Tropical

Tropical prints have been picking up steam and I can’t wait to grab a hold of them for summer. They’re my go-to print for a tropical getaway or beach trip since they instantly get me into vacation mode!

Gingham

Although the weather still has some warming up to do, it’s a great time to start shopping for gingham prints. It’s a huge favorite of mine, especially during summer because it has that cool, vintage vibe. It always looks so chic when paired with denim.
