As much as I love summer, I have to admit that I’m excited for sweater weather and cooler temperatures. Fall is always filled with endless outfit ideas and layering opportunities that you can get creative with. Although it isn’t exactly time to part ways with your summer wardrobe just yet, there are plenty of pre-fall outfits you can buy and wear now. I’ve been building up my wardrobe with pieces that will give me a head start on the next season – but that I can also wear now as summer comes to an end. Today, I wanted to share what my go-to looks are when it comes to seasonal transitions.
Revolve Lovers + Friends Sweater (wearing an XXS – size down) | Revolve Lovers + Friends Slit Skirt (wearing an XXS – size down) | Ego Heels (under $50! go by UK sizing) | Saint Laurent College Bag | Celine ‘Edge’ Sunglasses (better for budget here)
Matching Knit Set
Sweater sets are one of the outfits I’m most excited about this season. They’re so comfortable and cozy yet chic with the right accessories. I’ve already worn this look with PVC heels but can’t wait to transition it to fall with a duster coat and pumps.
Lovers + Friends White Sweater (wearing an XXS – size down) | Majorelle Ruffled Skirt (wearing an XXS) | Gucci Marmont Bag (mini size) | Celine Sunglasses (budget version here) | Similar Christian Louboutin White Heels(better for budget here)
Leather Skirt & Light Knit
Leather is going to be everywhere soon and I’ve been loving rich, caramel hues. It’s so flattering on any skin tone and gets me super excited about the changing leaves in the fall. Make your leather skirt work for summer with a cutout knit top and then add over-the-knee boots as temperatures begin to drop.
Leather Pants, Cami, & Blazer
Although I love denim, I start to trade them for leather pants as we get deeper into summer. They’re a great transitional piece because they always look so luxe but never overly dressy. You can wear it now with a lace cami and blazer but also pile on heavier coats for fall and winter.
Moto Jacket, Jeans, & Tee
It’s never too early to layer on a moto jacket over jeans and a t-shirt. This outfit combo is more appropriate with stiletto heels while it’s hot outside, but look amazing with boots in the fall. I love how a moto jacket always adds a little edge to the most casual outfits.
Burberry Trench Coat (exact style sold out, similar style here) | Revolve Black Dress | Givenchy Antigona Bag | Manolo Blahnik Stilettos (on sale – also here, budget-friendly option here) | Saint Laurent Flat Top Sunglasses
Trench & Tunic Dress
There’s nothing better than a chic trench coat when the weather gets chilly. They always have a way of making any outfit look pulled together. I purchased my Burberry trench coat years ago and always get plenty of wear from it in the fall. They’re light enough to wear now with a tunic dress and look great with boots and scarves later.
