6 Outfit Combos to Wear When Working from Home

Working from home has become the norm these days for many people with traditional desk jobs. With that said, it can be hard to actually get dressed when you wake up in the morning. Rolling out of bed and heading straight to my desk has never been effective, so I’ve always stuck to my routine of getting up early and picking out a proper outfit just as I would in a traditional job. Although I love being comfortable, it’s equally important to be presentable when you work from home. Plus, it’s one of the best and easiest ways to feel confident and prepared for a day full of to-do’s. If you struggle putting together casual chic outfits, I’m sharing some of my favorite outfit combos to wear when working from home.
Lovers + Friends Crop Sweater (wearing an XXS) | Revolve Black Jogger Pants (wearing an XXS) | Tamara Mellon Heels (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent College Bag (medium size) | NY Yankees Hat
Knit Top & Joggers
If you prefer to work from home in something comfortable, then I recommend picking up a pair of joggers that you wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear out. I love silky joggers because they’re so versatile whether you’re staying in the office or running out. You can pair them with a crop top for a casual outfit or polish them up with a blouse and heels.
Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots (run TTS) | Leith Gray Sweater (wearing an XS, similar here and here) | Levi’s Denim Shorts (wearing a 24) | Givenchy Antigona Bag (read review HERE) | Celine Sunglasses
Oversized Sweater & Jeans
Rather than pop on an old, worn-down sweatshirt, replace it with a chic, slouchy sweater. With this simple piece, you can achieve a super cozy outfit that is perfect for days when you don’t have time to leave the home office. I prefer to pair mine with denim in the summer but it also works with a variety of bottoms whether you’re in the mood for leggings or leather pants.
Halogen Leopard Shirt (similar here, here and here) | Nordstrom Ear Crawler Earrings | Anine Bing Lace Bralette | Frame Black Denim Shorts (wearing a 24 – runs TTS) | Gucci Belt (wearing a size 70 – read my ‘Gucci Belt Sizing Guide’ HERE) | Givenchy Sunglasses | Tamara Mellon Heels (run TTS) | Gucci Velvet Wallet On Chain (sold out, similar here)
Polished Blouse & Cutoff Shorts
Having a polished blouse on hand is essential in any work environment. It’s such an easy way to dress up denim pieces, which explains why I often incorporate them into my daily outfits. I love that they’re not restrictive and comfortable too, so I never feel overly dressed up. This combo is also perfect for video calls and Instagram stories because no one sees what you’re wearing on the bottom.
Forever 21 Shirtdress (similar here) | Saint Laurent Sunset Crossbody Bag | Stuart Weitzman Nude Sandals | Quay Sunglasses
Dress
If putting together an outfit requires too much effort, try a dress in an ultra-soft fabric. I prefer silky textures and knit fabrics for an easy, yet stylish work-from-home look. They’re easily elevated with heels and blazer or statement jewelry.
Balmain Blazer (wearing an FR34, better for budget here) | Treasure & Bond White Long-Sleeve Tee | AG Denim Skirt (wearing a 24) | Gucci Belt (wearing a 75 – read my ‘Gucci Belt Sizing Guide’ HERE) | Gucci Sneakers (size down by 1/2, read my ‘Gucci Sneaker Review’ HERE) | Celine Bag | Tom Ford Sunglasses
Basic Top & Denim
I’m a fan of buying clothes I can wear and keep on rotation, so basics like a casual tee and jeans are one of my favorite combos to wear at home. Denim is always cute and comfy while a basic tee works as a blank canvas for accessories. It’s a foolproof uniform for staying super comfortable while getting your work done – and it’s so easy to dress up or down.
Nike Crop Top (wearing an XS)| Nike Black Legging/Tights (wearing an XS) | adidas Sneakers (size down by 1/2)
Logo Tee & Leggings
There are days when all I want to wear is a comfy tee and leggings. Rather than keep the look boring with a plain t-shirt, I’ll usually throw on a logo tee, which makes a world of difference. I love layering this outfit underneath a blazer or moto jacket for more of a cool, streetwear vibe.
