When building out my wardrobe at the start of any season, I almost always start with the investment pieces on my wishlist. I’ve always found that it’s easier to budget for the more expensive pieces up front, that way you’ll end up with things you actually want to wear – and won’t donate once the season ends. Designer pieces obviously come with a hefty price tag, so I do my best to watch for sales and events where I can score a deal, even if it’s a small one. When I saw that Saks 5th Avenue was starting their fall gift card event, I knew it was the perfect time to shop. Below, you can get the full details of the event and grab some of my favorite designer brands and pieces.
The Saks gift card event started online yesterday and runs through Friday, 9/27 till midnight. So many of you guys ask about my favorite designer handbags, and I just find myself adding more and more styles from Saint Laurent to my wishlist. Splurging on a Saint Laurent bag now will definitely take care of your bag needs for fall and winter – then you can use the gift card on a wallet or shoes.
Saint Laurent (Shoes)
I love Saint Laurent shoes as much as I love their bags. I have been wanting the Saint Laurent Ophelia boots forever now, and this might just be the perfect opportunity to scoop them up.
The Givenchy Antigona bag is my most-used handbag in the fall and winter. I purchased it three years ago and still get so much use from it. If you’re looking for a structured bag that’s timeless and durable, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Fall is all about layering and I plan to wear my Balmain blazer even more through the colder seasons. It’s so expensive at full price, so this gift card event makes it even more worthwhile. I love how it takes any outfit to another level.
Chloe is another brand I love for more delicate, feminine pieces. The Faye and Nile bags are two that I frequently carry and I love how they contrast against fall’s richer tones. I’ve also been obsessing over these studded boots, which are so ideal for the cooler weather.
Along with handbags, designer heels are where I put most of my money when it comes to my wardrobe. Some of the most comfortable designer pumps I own are from Gianvito Rossi. Not only are the shoes incredibly well-made, but they also have the best selection of neutrals.
I’ve been crushing on these jeweled pumps from Manolo Blahnik all year long and I’m so happy to see that they’re included in this event. Sizes are already going so quick, so don’t wait to scoop them up.
For being designer shoes, Stuart Weitzman is very reasonably priced. I’m a huge fan of their OTK boots, which work for a range of calf sizes. (You can read my full review here.) I plan on wearing them a ton this season, like I do every year. They’re worth every penny and you definitely won’t regret buying them.
