It’s the last week of November and we are officially in the full swing of holiday mode. I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by and it’s going to be Christmas before you know it. For me, there’s no better way to ease into the cheerful season than with some festive holiday outfits. I find that fun holiday sweaters are always the best piece to start with. There is bound to be a sweater to match every single event from holiday family parties, friend gatherings, and work functions. I did some digging and compiled a list of the best holiday sweaters you need this season, including a bunch of non-ugly options!
Chanel Bag (medium size) | Similar Red Sweater | Asos Red Scarf | GRLFRND Denim (similar here) | Gucci Belt (more sizes here, read my ‘Guide To Buying A Gucci Belt’ HERE) | Christian Louboutin So Kate Heels (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent Sunglasses (better for budget here) | Daniel Wellington Watch
A bold, solid red sweater is the most festive piece you can wear through the holidays. You can dress it up with some leather bottoms or keep it casual with jeans! I love taking it up a notch by pairing it with red, cozy accessories like a scarf or knit beanie. Besides, red is a universally flattering color and always everyone in a cheery spirit.
Similar Sweater Dress (also here) | Anthropologie Over-The-Knee Socks (similar here) | King of Christmas Tree (10ft) | Crate & Barrel Knit Throw | Crate & Barrel Knit Pillow | Daniel Wellington Watch
A winter cult classic, the fair isle will never go out of style during this time of year. It screams cozy and is perfect for sipping hot chocolate by the fire with your friends and family. I love that it’s already such a festive piece, so you don’t have to put much effort into dressing up or accessorizing.
BCBG Max Azria Fringe Sleeve Dress (exact style sold out, similar here and here) | Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots (better for budget here) | Gucci Marmont Mini Bag
If you have a themed party, you’ll definitely need a new “ugly” Christmas sweater! You guys know I’m all about practicality, so instead of buying something I don’t like, I’ll go with more functional pieces like a color block sweater or something adorned with sequins or pearls. If bling isn’t really your thing, you can still participate with a cute typography sweater.
Intermix Off-The-Shoulder Sweater (exact color sold out, better for budget here and here) | GRLFRND Denim (wearing a 24) | King of Christmas Flocked Tree (10′) | King of Christmas Flocked Mini Trees | Anthropologie Cloche | Pottery Barn Flicker Candle | Nordstrom Glitter Snow Globe | Soft Surroundings Lamp | Anthropologie Pompom Throw Blanket | Faux Fur Throw Blanket
All sweaters are undeniably cozy but the oversized options that fall fall off the shoulder are the best. These sweaters are perfect for staying casual but comfortable. You can pair them with your favorite pair of jeans or leggings.

I love all things soft, fuzzy and warm, especially when it comes in white. Knitwear in shades of cream always looks so chic and can be dressed up or down. It’s one of my go-to monochrome colors to wear in the winter time.
Shopbop C/Meo Collective Sweater (wearing an XS) | Blank Denim Faux Leather Pants (wearing a 24 – run TTS) | Revolve Raye Booties (run TTS) | Bottega Veneta Pouch Bag (better for budget here) | Tom Ford Sunglasses (better for budget here)
The single best sweater update you can make this season involves a statement sleeve. It’s not only festive, but super cozy and cute too. From pom poms to ruffles and fringe details to billowy sleeves, this sweater style will elevate any jeans.
Lovers + Friends Sweater Dress (exact style sold out, similar here, also love this one) | Burberry Scarf | KyiKyi Red Pompom Beanie | Similar Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots (also love these, better for budget here) | Gucci Marmont Velvet Bag (exact style sold out, similar here) | Saint Laurent Sunglasses (better for budget here)
My foolproof winter outfit involves the sweater dress. It’s one of those pieces that you can wear for any party because it always looks dressed up – especially when paired with your favorite OTK boots.
Mango Camel Coat (similar here – on sale now!) | Revolve Majorelle Green Turtleneck Sweater | Revolve Majorelle Green Faux Leather Skirt (wearing an XXS) | Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots (better for budget here) | Louis Vuitton Clutch (available in my shop) | Celine Sunglasses (better for budget here)
You can never have too many sweaters in the winter, but if staying warm is your top priority, then a turtleneck top is a perfect investment. Whether you prefer an oversized piece or a formfitting style, you’ll look winter-ready, especially in cream or olive tones. The best part is that you’ll get plenty of use out of it beyond the holidays.
