fashion blogger mia mia mine wearing a white revolve dress and mango white braided heelsThe 4th of July is almost here and that usually translates into BBQs, fireworks, and amazing company. After a hectic start to the year, I couldn’t be more ready for it. I love this festive holiday because it falls during the peak season of summer when the weather is warm and the sun is bright and cheerful. It’s also one of those holidays when I really try to go all out with low-key but patriotic outfits. I always love seeing how creative my friends and family can get too! With that said, if you are in search of the perfect Independence Day attire, I got you covered. Read on for some 4th of July outfit ideas that work for any type of celebration.

Summer Dress + Straw Hat

Nothing says summer more than a classic dress. There are so many different options, silhouettes and styles available, so you can most certainly find one that suits your aesthetic. Although I’ve been really drawn to simple white dresses, I plan on shaking things up with bold red styles this year for a festive vibe. All you need to complete the look is a chain bag and straw hat.

Neutrals With a Pop of Red

One of my favorite ways to dress for the holiday is to incorporate some key colors into the look without letting it completely take over. One of the easiest tricks to do so is by taking advantage of things like accessories. Keep it simple by opting for a neutral, classic outfit. Think pieces like denim or cut-off shorts with a simple blouse. Then, add a pop of red with a handbag, statement belt, or shoes. In this outfit, I decided to double down and bring out my bright red espadrilles and red Saint Laurent handbag.

Patriotic Theme

Even if your holiday plans are a little more low-key, you can dress more festive than usual. Keep it comfortable but relevant by wearing your favorite athleisure pieces, like this USA sweatshirt, and vintage jeans. You can also opt for classic American colors and prints, including stripes, stars, gingham, and polka dots. Personally, I’m a huge fan of easy, casual looks that you can throw on over a swimsuit and wear to a BBQ.

Jumpsuit or Romper

One pieces are effortless but always manage to look fashion-forward, which is why they are one of my favorite items all throughout the summer season. Depending on your preference, you can rock a casual linen jumpsuit, a utilitarian style, or a chambray one-piece for that effortless, off-duty look. I love that you can easily throw them over a cute swimsuit too!

Denim Jacket, Shorts & A Basic Tee

Last but not least, I cannot recommend some lightweight utility shorts and a basic top. Never underestimate the power of this look! It is great for almost any occasion, including the 4th of July! Although these are seemingly basic items, you can revamp the outfit with an edgy denim jacket and studded sandals! Pop on some oversized sunglasses and chunky gold chain for a high-impact look.
