Winter fashion is all about layering so mixing in great accessories is the key to creating stylish outfits for everyday. Although you’ll always have the basics to fall back on, like scarves and beanies, there’s a new crop of winter accessories your wardrobe is probably missing. I wanted to share five options with you today in case you’re looking for new ways to keep your wardrobe fresh. I’m a big believer in investing in accessories because they can take the most basic outfit up ten notches instantly. Keep scrolling for my must-have winter accessories of 2021.

Shearling Handbag
I’m all about textures in the winter, and I’m sure it’s obvious that I can’t get enough of the cozy shearling trend. I’ve been carrying my Chanel shearling bag for the past two months and love how it keeps me snug, especially when paired with an equally fluffy coat.

Furry Hat
Pom pom beanies will always be a winter staple, but if you’re looking for other stylish hat options, I recommend trying out a furry design. Whether it’s a fuzzy baseball cap or a shearling bucket hat, they add a playful touch while making an outfit feel effortlessly cool.

Textured and Logo Tights
Leggings, jeans, and over-the-knee boots can start to feel redundant right around this time. That’s where tights come in handy. I love the look of chic logo tights with mini skirts and cozy layers because they add more visual interest. If you can’t justify the high price tag of designer logo tights, experiment with textured styles for a similar effect.

Pearls
One winter accessories trend I’m currently obsessed with is pearls. I don’t wear a ton of bold jewelry or heavily embellished garments, so this is actually perfect for me. It’s classic and understated, but still pops against an outfit. Leave it to a pair of imitation pearl hoops to make chunky knitwear feel more elevated. If you want to go for a playful, statement look, you can try a pearl-adorned beanie.
L’Academie Top | L’Academie Cropped Pants | Prada Cahier Bag | Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps (better for budget here) | Givenchy Sunglasses
Waist Belts
I’m so glad to see waist belts trending again this winter because they’re so flattering on us petite girls. The cinched waistline also helps make heavy winter layers look more chic. Try wrapping one around your winter coat to add more shape – or use it to accent a sweater dress.
