The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 kicks off today for Nordy Club Icon members, and it’s seriously an exciting time to shop. I love basking in the warm weather, but if I’m being honest, fall is my all-time favorite season. There’s nothing I love more than layering up in warm coats and cozying up in chunky knits. That’s why I look forward to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale every year. Last week, I gave you guys a quick preview of the items on my wish list – but I wanted to give you a closer look today. Since the NSALE can be a behemoth to navigate, I thought I’d take you through the pieces I’m most excited about from the top selling categories. Be sure to check back in around noon today because I’ll be heading to Nordstrom first thing in the morning and will share all the details of my in-store try-on session here.
My Top 20 Must-Haves
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is filled with tons of items – many of which can be worn right now. However, I’d recommend focusing your purchases on the more expensive fall items since you can snag them at a discount. Think coats, boots, and sweaters that will carry you through the end of the year. I’m betting that my picks here will sell out the fastest.
My Coat Picks…
A high-quality, investment coat is my top pick from the NSALE. This one is perfect because it’s reasonably priced and can be worn from work straight to dinner. The classic silhouette also makes everything look more polished. If you have a bigger budget, then I’d go with this waterfall camel coat.
My Jacket Picks…
There are so many great jackets in the NSALE this year, but I’m really loving this faux leather jacket. It’s such a chic and affordable way to bring a bit of edge to a basic fall look. If you prefer investing in real leather, you can’t go wrong with this buttery soft leather jacket by All Saints. It was one of those pieces that couldn’t stay in stock during last year’s NSALE. Leather aside, I can also use an updated fall shacket – this long plaid one gives me the coziest vibes.
My Sweater Picks…
The key category everyone should take advantage of during the NSALE is sweaters! The colder seasons feel like they last forever in Minnesota so I can never have enough cozy knits. You bet I’ll be scooping up a ton of wool and cashmere styles, but my top pick goes to this Free People sweater. It’s not only under $100 – but can double up as a dress (which you guys know I love!).
My Boot Picks…
There are so many boot styles I’m coveting, but if I had to pick just one, it’d be these beige combat boots. I love the clean versatile look that goes with leggings, denim, and even skirts. If combat boots aren’t your thing, then I have to recommend these over-the-knee boots. The chunkier design feels a bit more casual, which is great for everyday wear.
My Sneaker Picks
During last year’s NSALE, all the best sneakers sold wildly fast. I’m sure it’s a strong indication of what we can expect this year, so add these neutral sneakers to your cart and check out as soon as possible.
My Favorite Everyday Basics…
Layering tees, undetectable bras and leggings are basically what I live in come fall. Below, I rounded up my must-haves. If I had to recommend just one pair of leggings, it’d be the Commando ones. They’re the most versatile as they can be worn to work or styled for a night out. Plus, I love how they hold everything in place, creating a smooth silhouette without being uncomfortable.
My Dress Picks…
I typically don’t buy dresses during the NSALE, but this year’s selections completely changed that. There’s such a good mix of plain dresses that can be layered to perfection as well as sweater dresses that require zero styling. I can’t wait to try this one on in store.
My Activewear Picks…
It’s been a while since I shopped for activewear, so I’ll definitely be using this opportunity to grab some new pieces. These cargo sweatpants look promising for the colder weather. I’ll be wearing it with this sports bra or this crop top for a seamless look.
My Denim Picks…
It was so hard to narrow down my denim picks to just a few when there’s such a good range of styles this year. However, this one immediately caught my eye – not just for the amazing price (under $60) – but for the cool distressing and straight leg fit. The cropped length will be perfect for me and I’m sure it’s going to look amazing with some booties.
My Beauty Picks…
Whether you’re stocking up on the essentials or want to try a new skincare/makeup product, now’s the time to buy it. I tried this hair mist for the first time last year and loved everything about it. I can’t recommend it enough.
My Accessory Picks…
I don’t go crazy on accessories, but you guys know I love my hats. I couldn’t believe the price of this wide brim style. The neutral color will go with everything and put the finishing touches on any fall outfit.
My Home Picks…
This cordless vacuum is a life saver. It’s powerful, quiet and easy to use. I highly recommend taking advantage of the NSALE and scooping it up for $120 off. If that’s far out of your budget, then definitely check out the candles and home fragrances. I always make sure to stock up on them because they make great gifts around the holidays.
