After spending so many years in Minnesota, I pretty much have my winter style nailed down to a tee. It’s all about a simple base made complete with a killer jacket and pair of shoes. That said, I’m always keeping an eye out for the next best outerwear and footwear trends. There was so much newness this year that it made it easy to revamp my cold weather wardrobe. Today, I wanted to share some of those winter-ready outfits long with the exact pieces you need to get the looks. If you weren’t excited for the chilly season ahead, I hope these outfit ideas get you there!

1. Shearling Biker Jacket, Gray Jeans & White Combat Boots
My wardrobe is never without biker jacket of some sort. In the winter, I’ll trade my standard leather jacket for a shearling biker jacket to achieve that cozy yet edgy vibe. Although this style has been trending for a few years now, you can easily amp things up with super chunky boots.

2. Winter Whites
There is nothing as chic as an all-white outfit in the winter time. It may be bleak outside, but this crisp hue instantly brightens up the day and makes you look so expensive. To pull off the look in an elevated way, pair your chunkiest white sweater with floor-grazing trousers and finish it off with a structured white tote bag.

3. Tailored Coat, Colorblock Sweater & Suede Booties
A trusty sweater and pair of skinny jeans will never fail you. However, I’ll admit that the combination can get boring after a month of winter. Luckily, you can freshen up the look by opting for a colorblock knit and jeans in a non-traditional wash, like gray. Don’t forget to layer up with a smart coat and add suede booties for a formal flair.

4. Hoodie, Faux Leather Leggings & Fashion Sneakers
On days when comfort is your highest priority, faux leather leggings are the way to go. Add another layer of cozy comfort with an oversized hoodie and casual kicks. Your outerwear options are endless but I personally love a wrap coat to balance out the relaxed fit.

5. Houndstooth Coat, Straight Leg Jeans & Lug Sole Boots
Two of my favorite trends of the season have to be the houndstooth coat and platform lug sole boots. I wore the two together here for a casual look that feels very of-the-moment.
Moncler Logo Cape | Cotton Citizen White Knit Dress | Paris Texas Croc-Effect Boots (better for budget here) | Givenchy Antigona Handbag | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
6. Cape Coat, Sweater Dress & Croc-Effect Boots
This season, I’m stoked for the return of the cape. This unconventional outerwear is always a head-turner. I love styling mine with a sweater dress and tall boots. If you want to create an ensemble that feels more current versus classic, try a logo cape and croc-embossed boots.
Simliar Nike Puffer Jacket (also here) | Revolve Cutout Top | Mother Jeans | NY Yankees Baseball Cap | Chanel Red Handbag | Christian Louboutin White Pumps (similar here, better for budget here)
7. Glossy Puffer, Cutout Tee & Mom Jeans
Finally, if you’ve yet to own a glossy puffer jacket, you’re missing out! It’s such an on-trend addition to any outfit – especially a cutout tee and mom jeans. The beauty of this combo is that it can be styled up with heels or down with sneakers.
