Spring break is upcoming up for many of us – and no matter what plans you might have, you’ll need an arsenal of chic looks to accommodate you. I always try to keep packing simple with pieces that can be mixed effortlessly for a mini vacation capsule wardrobe. Of course, I love using the opportunity to play with trends I don’t get to wear on a day-to-day basis too. Leaning into a curated selection of flowy dresses, breezy pants, denim and cute tops will usually do the trick. If you need a little inspiration on where to begin, I’m sharing 7 no-fail spring break outfits you can wear anywhere.
Cami NYC Off-The-Shoulder Top | Lovers + Friends Linen Pants (exact style sold out, similar here) | Castaner Espadrille Wedges | Fendi Chain Strap Bag | Fendi Sunglasses
1. Casual Top & White Pants
Flowy white pants are a no-brainer when you’re on vacation. They’re the easiest solution when you’re not in the mood to wear a dress but also can’t be bothered with denim. I also love how chic and sophisticated they look with a basic tee or a statement top.
Abercrombie Knit Dress | Rag & Bone Hat (better for budget here) | Valentino Rockstud Thong Sandals | Saint Laurent Raffia Crossbody Bag
2. Knit Dress, Sandals & Straw Bag
Spring break happens quite early in the year, so the weather can be unpredictable. Knit dresses are the perfect solution because they’re chic yet offer a decent amount of warmth. Just pair with straw accessories for an easy look that still feels very vacation-esque.
Goodnight Macaroon Halter Top | Abercrombie White Denim | Alexandre Birman Heels | Bottega Veneta Sunglasses | Bottega Veneta The Pouch Bag
3. White Denim & Knit Top
If denim is a part of my spring break outfit rotation, it’s usually a pair of white, high-waisted, straight-leg jeans. This is my favorite cut because it’s the most flattering with any top. The relaxed leg also keeps the look breezy – and it can be dressed up for an evening out.
Wayf Lace Top | Levi’s Denim Shorts | Castaner Espadrille Wedges | Saint Laurent Sunset Bag | Similar Tom Ford Aviator Sunglasses
4. Statement Top & Denim Shorts
Another denim must-have is a pair of cut-offs. It’s a key piece to help tone down a flirty top during the day. Plus, you can slip it on top of a swimsuit or wear it with a bikini top when you’re by the pool or heading down to the beach. There are so many ways to style it.
Similar White Button-Down Shirt | Anine Bing Lace Bra | Revolve Faux Leather Shorts | Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette Bag | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
5. Button-Down Shirt & Shorts
Button-down shirts are another versatile piece to bring along anywhere – and they’re trendier than ever this spring. You’re guaranteed to have at least 3-4 outfits with this piece alone whether you wear it open with crop top (or bikini) underneath, tie it at the waist with shorts, or tuck it into denim.
Tularosa Polka Dot Dress | Rag & Bone Hat (better for budget here) | Castaner Espadrille Wedges | Bottega Veneta The Pouch Bag
6. Vacation Dress
Spring break just wouldn’t be the same without fancy vacation dresses. It’s the one thing we’ve all been longing to wear after a long winter. You just need too add summery shoes and accessories for a flawless fit.
Beach Bunny Bikini Set (here and here) | Louis Vuitton Shawl (worn as a sarong, better for budget here) | Stuart Weitzman Pearl Thong Sandals | Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Tote (also love this one) | Rag & Bone Hat (better for budget here)
7. Swimwear & Beach Bag
Be sure to pack at least one bathing suit on your spring break excursion even if you have no plans to take a dip. Some of the newer trends to keep an eye out for this season are chain straps, belted detailing, and shimmery materials.
