Traveling is picking back up this year – and you probably have some plans on the horizon with Memorial Day weekend coming up. But if you haven’t been able to travel for a while, you might feel rusty putting together the perfect airport outfit. I’ll admit that it’s tricky trying to balance out all the different elements from the tricky weather to what you’ll be lugging around to the temperatures inside a plane. With that in mind, I do have several cute travel outfits that I default to when I want to be comfortable and stylish. These easy chic looks will work for any trip you have coming up no matter how you plan to get there. Whether you’ll be on a long plane ride, sitting in the car or a train, scroll ahead for the travel outfits you can recreate with just a few pieces.

1. Workout Set, Blazer & Sneakers
You guys have seen this look before but I’m sharing it again because it’s the travel outfit that I’ve worn religiously this year. It doesn’t get any comfier (and more practical) than your favorite workout set, oversized blazer and sneakers. The stretchy base layers don’t just allow me to move however I need – but they make getting through airport security significantly faster.

2. Biker Jacket, Jeans & Bold Sneakers
If there’s one uniform that I’ve relied on to travel in style through the years, it’s some version of a boyfriend tee, leather jacket, denim and statement sneakers. This outfit formula makes it easy to stay relevant because all you need to do is update your denim silhouette for something more current.

3. Lightweight Coat, Leggings & Platform Sneakers
You never know when you might need a jacket – even in the summertime when it can be freezing indoors. So, I always keep a light option on hand whether that’s a blazer or trench coat. I find that it’s often the trick to achieving that effortlessly chic effect we see on celebrities as they breeze through the airports.

4. Blazer & Parachute Pants
In case you missed it, parachute pants (or supersized joggers) are the micro trend that fashion girls are going crazy over right now. I’m loving the look for a comfy yet chic take on travel dressing. They’re lightweight, airy and easy to style. You just have to balance out the voluminous style with a plain white tee and blazer. Heels are optional but do help take the look to new heights.
Zara Tweed Blazer (exact style sold out, similar here and here) | Amazon Biker Short Set | Bottega Veneta Sunglasses | Saint Laurent Solferino Bag | Balenciaga Baseball Cap (better for budget here)
5. Tweed Blazer & Biker Shorts
Blazers and biker shorts are a polished combination worth leaning into when jet setting over the summer. The longer shorts feel more pulled-together than sweat shorts. I also love the idea of adding a textured blazer, like tweed, to polish up the athleisure shorts even more. Complete the outfit with a baseball and crossbody bag and you’re all set.
