September Instagram Recap

We’re another month down in 2021 and have finally gotten a good taste of fall. I’ve broken in several pieces that I’ve been dying to wear from combat boots to updated outerwear. If those items are any indication of what the new season is bringing fashion-wise, then I know there’s definitely more to get excited about. I know the chill sets in slower in other parts of the country, so if you’re in need of forward fall outfit ideas, keep scrolling for some of my favorite looks from September.

1. White After Labor Day
Some of the chicest fall fashion finds can be found right on Amazon. This sweater is the best dupe for my Free People tunic and it can be styled endlessly. I love it with some white jeans and beige accessories but you can also wear it with faux leather pants or as a dress.
Express White Coat | Amazon Brown Workout Set | Nike Daybreak Sneakers | Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote | Saint Laurent Sunglasses (similar here)
2. Amazon Set
I also discovered this workout set from Amazon and have now acquired it in white and olive green. It’s the comfiest set to relax in but is also practical for low impact exercises and stretching. The price makes it way too good to pass up.

3. Fall Date Night
One of my favorite outfits of the month has to be this one with Anine Bing’s houndstooth blazer. It’s one of those simple but head-turning ensembles you can wear for a date night, while grabbing drinks with friends, or just to look more put together on the weekends.
Express Coat Vest | Free People Tunic Sweater | Stuart Weitzman Over-The-Knee Boots (better for budget here) | Saint Laurent Solferino Bag | Fendi Sunglasses
4. New Workwear
I’ve been so inspired by new ways to layer. With the vest trend going strong, I knew I had to have this coat vest in my fall rotation. It’s so chic over knit dresses and bare legs but can be layered in infinite ways with other basics and pants.
Balmain Blazer (wearing a 34 – check out my sizing guide HERE, better for budget here) | Commando Turtleneck Bodysuit | Blank NYC Faux Leather Pants | Prada Cahier Bag | Quay Aviator Sunglasses | NY Yankees Cap
5. Black Out
There’s no need to constantly re-invent the wheel. Some of the best fall outfits consist purely of classics – a blazer, turtleneck top and leather pants. I’ve worn this exact uniform for years and it seriously never gets old.
Halogen Brown Coat | Karen Kane Brown Sweater | Spanx Croc-Embossed Leggings | Saint Laurent Lou Tweed Bag | AllSaints Combat Boots
6. Fall Details
If you really want to switch up the classics though, all it takes is one or two updated details. Think textured leggings and a tweed handbag. They help add interest to a look without being too loud, so even those with the most classic style can pull them off.
Karen Millen Cape | Commando Faux Leather Leggings | Christian Louboutin So Kate Pumps (better for budget here) | Chanel Bag | Gucci Sunglasses
7. Camel Cape
I’ve been wearing a ton of fall pieces from Karen Millen this past month. One piece that I just can’t get enough of is this camel cape. It looks amazing over any dressy get-up and I get compliments on it every time I wear it.
Topshop Green Coat (exact style sold out, similar here) | Similar Louis Vuitton Shine Shawl (also here and here) | Joe’s Camel Coated Denim (wearing a 24 – size up) | Similar Aviator Sunglasses | Louis Vuitton Toiletry Pouch 26
8. Fall Favorites
A good statement coat with some coated jeans and a logo scarf is another classic combination that I’ll never retire. If you nail the right proportions, you’ll end up with an iconic outfit that feels brand new.
Alice + Olivia Turtleneck Sweater | Alice + Olivia Faux Leather Pants | Gianvito Rossi Peep Toe Heels | Saint Laurent Sunglasses | Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette Bag
9. Dressed Up Joggers
I’ve been really into faux leather joggers and will take them in any color from black to beige. They’re so easy to dress up with a pair of heels. This one is so good it can even be worked into your office looks.
Lovers + Friends Distressed Sweater | GRLFRND Denim (similar here) | Celine Red Luggage Tote | Christian Louboutin Red Pumps | Quay Aviator Sunglasses
10. Pop of Red
Here’s a look I’d wear for fall family photos. I just love how the red pops against the fall foliage. The cutout sweater is one of those pieces that you can throw on quickly, and it looks like you put a lot of effort in getting ready.
