Yesterday, I shared some of my tips for building an expensive-looking wardrobe on a budget. One of the things I mentioned for achieving that was mixing high and low fashion brands. As you guys know, I’m all about splurging on handbags and shoes since they can make a fast fashion outfit look high end. However, buying designer accessories can be really expensive once you start to build out a collection. And it can be hard trying to decide which pieces are worthy of investing in first. With that in mind, I wanted to break down the top 10 best selling designer pieces from my blog this year. The fact that so many of my followers and readers have splurged on them speaks volumes about their worthiness.
The Gucci belt takes the cake when it comes to my top selling designer pieces. It’s so iconic and recognizable that it draws attention to an outfit and makes it stand out. As most of you know, I own the belt in black, white, and pink, and often wear it to anchor basics together. It’s such a durable accessory that will last you for years – all my belts are still in pristine condition even though I bought my first one three years ago.
Another designer piece that has been selling like crazy this year is the Balmain blazer. You guys see how often I wear this blazer, which I think is proof that it’s 100% worth buying. In fact, I wear this blazer so much the cost per wear is next to nothing! SSENSE ran an amazing sale earlier this summer that allowed for huge savings. Although most styles have now sold out, you can still snag the white one here and save $780! For more details, check out my full review here and my sizing guide here.
One of the trendiest bags I purchased in the past year was the Bottega Veneta The Pouch bag. The minimalist design, buttery soft leather, and wide offering of neutral colors immediately struck me as a must-have. It’s the type of bag you can carry from day to night since it’s technically a clutch. You can read all about my thoughts on it here.
The Saint Laurent Rive Gauche tote is the ultimate summer handbag. So many of you have been asking me about it – and I have nothing but great things to say. Despite being made from linen, it’s actually incredibly durable since the outside is coated. It’s also roomy so you can carry it as a daytime or travel bag. I’ve already written an in-depth review so be sure to read it here.
I received the Saint Laurent Monogram Envelope bag about two years ago and I’m still as obsessed with it today as I was then! It’s a great handbag if you prefer something with a lot more structure. Given the large size, it’s also practical enough for every day use. I love the envelope-style opening and quilted leather design, which makes it so luxe.
Another designer handbag that just won’t stop selling is the Givenchy Antigona bag – especially as we head into the later part of the year. This is one of my favorite bags of all time because it’s roomy and serves so many purposes. It also has a sleek, modern look that remains timeless year after year so you really can’t go wrong. I always get so many questions about this bag so I rounded up all the FAQs into one post here.
The Saint Laurent Sunset bag is one of the few designer bags that I own multiples of. I first got the neutral beige color and eventually picked up the black one too. I love how the chain strap looks elegant and glamorous against the smooth leather. Since it has a smaller design, it’s a great bag to wear for day or night.
One of the best selling designer pieces that caught me by surprise was the Gucci Ace sneakers. I thought long and hard about splurging on these since I’d already owned a few pairs of Golden Goose’s at the time of my purchase. The embellished design is so unique and unlike anything in my wardrobe. When I finally got around to trying them, I just knew I had to have them – they’re even more comfortable than my GG sneakers. You can read more on that here.
Despite being an older-style handbag, I still love and carry my Gucci Dionysus Mini bag frequently. I’m a huge fan of the convertible chain strap design because you can carry this bag over the shoulder or crossbody style. I went with the mini size because I felt it was more suitable on my frame while being able to hold all my essentials. The neutral logo print is also really versatile and can be worn with any outfit.
The Saint Laurent College bag holds a special place in my wardrobe because it’s the bag that started my Saint Laurent obsession. Although the exact gray color above has sold out, you can get it in black, dark gray, or cream, which I also love. The inside of the bag is broken up into compartments so you can keep your things organized.
